It's a Kiwi first!

You may remember our iconic burger, the Kiwi Classic.  With an all-Kiwi line-up of fresh, Quality Mark beef, natural cheese, free-range egg, manuka-smoked bacon, beetroot, freshly cut tomato, lettuce, red onion and creamy mayo, it really is a great Kiwi feed.
Now we have taken the Kiwi Classic to the next level and created a New Zealand first.
We are excited to introduce the Gourmet Kiwi Classic on brioche, available on a black brioche bun.  The French-style brioche bun is made by hand with real eggs and butter and features a soft rich dough and delicious moist texture.  The black colour in the bun is created by adding food grade activated charcoal, which has no impact on the delicious taste.
We also have our Gourmet Kiwi Classic available on a standard brioche bun  for those of you that prefer a non-black bun, or for some fun you could have a half black burger – with a black top and a standard brioche on the lower half.

The NEW low carb burger features Wendy’s quality mark sourced fresh NZ beef or Inghams whole chicken breast, NZ natural cheese, manuka smoked bacon, pickles, onions, tomato, ketchup and mayo, all wrapped in a fresh lettuce leaf. RRP $8.90.

Who says that salad has to taste boring?? Wendy's salad burger has creamy guacamole, tangy sweet thai chili sauce and cheese, onion, pickles, freshly chopped tomato and lettuce, and natural NZ cheese on a premium Kaiser bun. RRP $4.50, or add $3.00 for a small combo meal.

Crispy and juicy, Wendy’s chicken nuggets are a real treat. Sadly, they seem to disappear in no time at all. We’ve come up with a solution to that problem, as Wendy’s nuggets are now available in larger packs: 9 nuggets for just $7.00 or a 12 pack for $9.50. Made from whole chicken breast meat and served with your choice of dipping sauce – BBQ or Sweet & Sour.

The world's southernmost Wendy's opened its doors to the public at 8am on Monday 9th March 2015.  We had big expectations for the Dunedin opening after Christchurch's Hornby restaurant set a world record for the first week's sales.  And Dunedinites haven't disappointed, with over 8500 people served in the first five days!

Ingredients are being sourced locally wherever possible with our burger buns made in Dunedin and cheese, eggs, and produce all coming from South Island suppliers.

The new 60 seater Dunedin restaurant also includes a drive thru, cafe style seating plus group seating for larger parties, and a new two sided grill system that cooks the meat faster and enhances food safety.

With so many of our fresh ingredients coming from local producers, the South has always been close to our hearts and we couldn't be more pleased to be finally open and serving our custom prepared, great tasting food in Otago!  Come in and see us at 369 Andersons Bay Road, Dunedin, and taste the difference for yourself!
